For the Klanglicht Festival 2018 in Graz, Austria, LIA was commissioned to create Silver Ratio, a major audiovisual work projected onto the three glass walls of the iconic Künstlerhaus Graz.
In collaboration with sound artist Damian Stewart, the piece was designed as a true audiovisual synthesis. The final video was created through a two-step process: first, the sound’s dynamic data was analyzed and extracted. Then, this data was used to programmatically generate the visual animation, frame by frame. This ensures that every movement and change in the visuals is a direct, pre-determined reflection of the audio.
This created a powerful, immersive experience that was visible from both outside in the surrounding park and from inside the building, transforming the architecture itself into a living, breathing audiovisual instrument.
