Created in 2003, WithoutTitle was commissioned by Processing.org for the platform’s exhibition section. The work is an interactive generative system where participants influence line-based elements. Mouse movement controls the position and movement of the lines, while two keyboard keys (‘a’ and ‘f’) are used to adjust their length.
The work was included in the exhibition ‘Design Interactif’ at the Centre Pompidou in Paris and ‘Abstraction Now’ at the Künstlerhaus Wien. In 2014, WithoutTitle was featured by The Guardian in an online presentation of interactive digital works. Originally developed in 2003, the software has been rebuilt to ensure its continued execution on modern web browsers.
