Rain: An Interactive Generative Art Object

Rain is an abstract artistic interpretation of raindrops falling on a window pane. The work explores the transition from natural randomness to algorithmic pattern, creating a continuously changing visual output.

For the exhibition “media.art.collecting” at the Kunsthaus Graz, the project was presented as a multi-format installation. This included a large-scale wall projection, a series of digital prints, and a custom-built interactive object housed in cherrywood. This physical piece allows viewers to manipulate the generative parameters in real-time via custom sliders.

The interactive object (Edition 1 of 3) was acquired by the Neue Galerie Graz (Universalmuseum Joanneum) for their permanent collection. It was exhibited alongside works by pioneers such as Nam June Paik, Bruce Nauman, and Peter Weibel.
