A generative book that presents programmed images by various artists. Each print in process will be calculated individually – which makes every single book unique.
eix = ix + myRads[k] * sin(getAngle(k) *PI/180);
eiy = iy + myRads[k] * cos(getAngle(k) *PI/180);
eox = ox + others[j].getRads(k) * sin(others[j].getAngle(k) *PI/180);
eoy = oy + others[j].getRads(k) * cos(others[j].getAngle(k) *PI/180);

With Connections No.5, I worked with the principles of “body and physicalness, movement, play, lightness, empty space and curiousity.”
In the resulting visual images, the connections are made to be more important than the invisible elements that they connect. These connections and the emitted rays of color (representing the “energy” of each element) define both the relationships and the spaces between the elements.
Five points seek connections to each other with curved lines, at the same time emitting colored rays. The points themselves are only perceived as the centers of activity of these connections and rays. A random number generator controlling various parameters ensures that no created image will ever be the same.
